Philippines featured on BBC Show- Fast:Track
We are pleased to report that BBC World has featured the Philippines in their travel show "Fast:Track", a tourism program hosted by Carmen Roberts and Rajan Datar. These were aired last 12-15 March 201.
The program is split into three segements with the first featuring Rajan discussing the "Filipino factor" and its role in the global tourism industry. He also gives a brief profile of the country and the attractions it offers in contrast to its Asian neighbors.

The second segment shows Carmen discussing her experience island hopping across a few of the 7,107 islands. Her journey takes her to El Nido for its amazing limestone formations and white sand beaches and Bohol for its Chocolate Hills and miniscule tarsier among others.

The third and last segment of the program, features Joel Sibayan from the BBC World Global Minds forum, presenting five "free things" to do in Manila.

DOT London assisted in the visit of Carmen roberts and the BBC camera crew last 17 February to 01 March 2010. While the program normally may not be viewed in local British channels, BBC World nonetheless draws the attention of a wider global viewership and, as such, proves to be an excellent medium to promote tourism to the Philippines.
